Location and weather functions coming soon. Currently you can view location and weather data captured from the iOS apps, just not edit it on the Mac yet.

Regarding Encryption: This is a highly requested feature that we plan to offer at some point, but thus far have found it very difficult to do with synced data. Day One currently offers password protection, so you can keep your entries from being read on your computer. We have yet to hear of a user's date being compromised or viewed due to the lack of encryption. Your iCloud and Dropbox account require a password to gain access. Until we complete the encryption feature, we feel confident that you can secure your data by password protecting your user account on your computer, your devices in addition to your Day One password protection.
